Human stem cell genomic stability testing
using digital PCR, G-Banding and NGS

iCS-digital™ PSC: fast, in-routine genomic testing assay

The iCS-digital™ PSC range offers a high level of performance for optimum detection of recurrent abnormalities in human pluripotent stem cells. Its sensitivity enables the identification of sub-karyotyping abnormalities that G-Banding would miss. Its fast turnaround makes it an ideal test for in-routine control in hPSC cultures at various stages of the workflow: amplification/maintenance every 5-10 passages and for screening clones.

iCS-digital™ MSC: fast and cost-effective genomic testing assay

The iCS-digital™ MSC has been designed to capture 80% of abnormalities found in MSCs. Our digital PCR-based solution enables rapid and cost-effective screening for chromosomal abnormalities, delivering results in just 3 days.

Duo iCS-Karyo: the ultimate combined solution for hPSC genomic stability testing

Traditional G-Banding karyotyping is helpful in providing an exhaustive structural and numerical variant analysis. However, it does not have the required resolution to identify the most frequent genomic defects in human pluripotent stem cells. This includes the 20q.11.21 chromosomal amplification, commonly known as 20q. It is detected in more than 20% of worldwide cultured human Pluripotent Stem Cells (hPSCs) (Avery et al., 2013; Halliwell et al., 2020) and represents 22.9% of the recurrent structural variants identified in these cell lines (Assou et al., 2020), making it the most common genomic abnormality in hPSCs.

A karyotype service optimized for human stem cells

For human stem cells, G-Band, G-Banded or G-Banding analysis is the best-known method for karyotyping. It provides a visible karyotype of your cells by staining condensed chromosomes. This type of analysis requires specific knowledge and careful preparation of cells before analysis.  This service includes brief cell culture, processing to arrest the cells in metaphase, cell fixation, preparation of stained/banded slides, and microscope analysis of the karyotypes of 20 chromosome spreads.

Stem-Seq™ range: look deeper into the genome with greater clarity

Stem Genomics introduces the Stem-Seq™ range: advanced sequencing solutions designed to deliver deeper genomic insight with greater clarity. Tailored specifically for the detection of genomic abnormalities in human pluripotent stem cells, the range offers targeted NGS or Whole Genome Sequencing to suit your needs and budget. All options include our expert data interpretation services, helping you convert large-scale genomic data into meaningful results for your research work.
