Monitoring differentiation and identifying pluripotent stem cells are fundamental aspects of any pluripotent stem cell culture. Numerous publications in the scientific literature suggest genes and cell surface antigens that can be used for this purpose, along with a variety of available assays and methods. This can lead to confusion. With the Pluri-digital™ assay, Stem Genomics helps scientists monitor the undifferentiated markers cited by the ISSCR with a simple, cost-effective and rapid solution. This test provides valuable insight into the differentiation of a cell line, from its undifferentiated state to its trilineage differentiation profile in just 5 business days.
The Pluri-digital™ service will help you establish the pluripotency of your cell line rapidly within 5 business days. This cost-effective service has been designed for labs that choose to outsource and are seeking an affordable solution with a quick turn-around.
You can choose to check only the undifferentiated status of your cell line and/or their trilineage differentiation profile. If you’d like us to do both, two separate samples will be required.
Human cell lines: embryonic body differentiated cell lines, undifferentiated pluripotent cell lines and differentiated cell lines not coming from embryonic bodies.

If your raw material is not stable, it is difficult to trust any differentiation changes down the line. Therefore, whilst we are verifying your cell line pluripotency, why not also check for potential genomic abnormalities or mycoplasma at the same time? We have fast and high-performing digital PCR tests that will enable you to perform these tests simultaneously. This will also enable you to benefit from additional discounts.
New: you can now order up to 5 tests designed specifically for pluripotent stem cell workflows in one go. Watch a quick video presentation of the one-stop-shop service
Our experts specialized in stem cell characterization are here to help and recommend the procedure best adapted to your specific workflow.
The guidelines for checking the pluripotency of your cell lines recommend doing so after cloning at the reprogramming or gene editing stages in order to check the expression of undifferentiated markers. Pluri-digital™ can also be used during differentiation monitoring. Finally, we recommend using Pluri-digital™ to check the undifferentiated markers every time the cell line does not look or behave as expected.
